This two-hour class will prepare you for the legal issues involving the use of force and CT firearms law. This is the same course taught to CT police officers. Those what if’s and questions are answered too.

Your instructor – LT Dave Ferris has been professionally involved in the firearms industry for most of his life. Dave is a retired lieutenant from a municipal police department, where he was Rangemaster, SWAT team leader, and sniper team leader. He has attended numerous police instructor-level courses and as an academy instructor, has taught chiefs, officers, and civilians. He also taught criminal justice courses at the University of New Haven including law, investigations, and use of force. Dave has held many instructor certifications and has assisted numerous schools, businesses, and private organizations in crisis planning, preparation, and instruction. Dave is currently the president of Metroguard Security & Risk Management.
